Please tell me what you guys think if I use Fruit Roll Ups as a hawaiian laua skirt? Would it be to sticky or thin? It would be over fondant.

Note: I'm making a pregnant belly cake on June 23rd for a friend's babyshower. Her theme is Hawaiian. I'm thinking of other ways I can make the hawaiian skirt besides using fondant or icing.

Any other ideas helps, thanks a bunch.

I do love the multi-use of the fruit roll up but I'd imagine you'd slice them into strips with a pizza cutter? How about multicolor licorice (or pull-n-peel licorice)? They also make that colored (and edible) Easter grass in different colors. Even though it's well past Easter and not everyone overbuys it like I do, try a Party City type store.

Good luck!

Heehee I stocked up on edible easter grass as well. Right after Easter is 50% off. Now I just need something to do with iticon_smile.gif
