Hello Fellow Bakers

I'm on the search for a soft and chewy sugar cookie. I want them to be a drop cookie that I can add mix-ins to like m&m's. I don't plan on using them for cut outs. Can anyone help me out? I also would prefer to use butter instead of shortning bc that is what I have on hand. If you have recipe that would work or can point me in the right direction that would be great. Thanks all...

This is my favorite drop sugar cookie. I use a small ice cream scoop. The dough will look dry but keep mixing it will all come together. I like to scoop out my dough and dip the tops in sugar or colored sugar.

2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup butter, softened
1 1/2 cups white sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
350 for 10 minutes or until edges are light brown.

This is my favourite. It's in metric measurements.

Here is one I've been wanting to try. With five stars and 400 reviews, it has to be good, right? icon_smile.gif
