Blade Settings For The Silhouette Cameo?

Does anyone know what settings the silhouette cameo should be set on for cutting out gumpaste pieces? I'm having difficulties test cutting items where the blade either just scratches the top of the gumpaste or slices through both the mat/or card stock and the gumpaste. I have yet to make clean cuts. Gumpaste is very firm and rolled out with a #8 setting on my KA roller. I have Linda's package.
Are you using Linda's gumpaste recipe and letting it set overnight as she recommends? I would contact her for the blade setting.
I have made a few batches of her gumpaste but so far I haven't been successful with it yet. I let it rest like she said and followed her instructions but it is still very marshmallow like and will not pass smoothly at all through the pasta machine. Makes what looks like a knitted sweater texture.
In the meantime while i'm still testing her batches and checking it each day, I have tried to used tylosed fondant and satin ice gumpaste, which both make beautifully smooth rolled out firm sheets. The consistency of each is right, everything is fine there, just haven't figured out the right settings to cut them properly.
I tried to use mine and it just chewed it all up. I will have to get it out again for a try. I can't seem to get it to work for me yet. If i figure it out, I'll let you know
I see that this post is from 2012, hopefully by now somebody figure it out. :) I just bought my Cameo and did my first try on the regular blade using satin ice gum paste, on setting blade 7 and speed 2, it cut the gum paste but not a clean cut, it took me a couple try & error but I'm still not happy with it. I saw Linda's kit but I'm really don't want to spend $80 after spending $250 on the machine. What do you girls think? Is it worth? Does her gum paste recipe is better? What settings you guys are using? Can you guys please give me some light? Thank you.. XOXOX
