I have fondant that is leaf green right now but much too bright, how do I get dark green or olive green? Add black? Ughh I am the worst at mixing colors!!!

For olive green, add a little brown as well as a tiny bit of black.

G**gle is your friend: "icing color mixing chart" as some manufacturers have them online.

I'd mix in some brown, not black.

In the future, it also makes it easier if you start with "moss green" and then add the black.

labelle24...I couldn't link to this...could you try again?

As far as the olive green goes I'd use what you have and start adding dark brown and yellow and a touch of black if necessary. Hold it up next to something olive green and you can often tell what colors need to be added to make it what you want.

I pair leaf green with orange. You can add brown if you want it darker, but try not to add too much black- that has all the primary colors so you're also adding blue to the green which won't help you.
Also, add the color and wait a while to see it develop.
