I need to airbrush a cake royal blue. A client wants a cake like the link above. Would it be smart to color the bc light blue first then airbrush the dark blue???

thx

That is what I usually do. Whenever I try to make dark icings, they end up tasting bitter so I tint the icing first with a lighter color and finish it with the airbrush to get it to the depth needed. Unfortunately, I am a bit clumsy so inevitably I end up bumping the icing and have to do damage control. icon_smile.gif

I like using the airbrush system. I have to keep an eye on my distance though because I get caught up in the moment of airbushing and sometimes get a little too close to the cake. Be sure to use even strokes and you should do fine. icon_smile.gif
