Hi Everyone.. I have a quick question. I am making cupcakes that will have Red Buttercream on top and then I am going to top it with a White Fondant disk and have a edibale image be on the disk. Will the red buttercream soak into the white fondant disk and ruin it?

Thanks so much!

If you use a crusting b'cream and color it at least 24 hrs before there should be no problem.
If you don't mind a bit of flavor in the b'cream I suggest you 1st tint the icing a deep, dark pink OR orange OR yellow before adding some black cherry KoolAid (dry powder) along w/your red gel color. About 1/2 teaspoon per cut should be enough. After the b'c sits/rests for some hours it might develop some dark spots & you'll get all upset -- BUT... just stir it up good and continue on. Those spots will dissapear icon_smile.gif
