I have been asked by my best friend to make cupcakes for her daughter's birthday. She'd like the theme to be "Rainbow Fairies" - a children's book series. Any ideas on how to tackle this??? Any suggestions would be very helpful! I'm fairly new to baking and decorating but I can do some fondant work.

What if you did something like this, with cut outs of the different fairies and the fairy names (I know they all have different names icon_smile.gif )

I would do fondant fairy wings and faces.

I found this example online at google.

Only difference I would make is I would stand it up against the frosting and top the cupcake with a pretty sixlet.

Thank you both for your suggestions!! I think I might go for the "easier" of the two and print pics of the fairies and correspond the color of the frosting to each. Maybe pipe the fairies name on each one. Your help is VERY appreciated!!
