Perfect cutting edges in fondant

Hello ladies,
I have a questions
I am in love with this cake http://cakecentral.com/gallery/1562269/minnie-mouse
and I am planning to do something similar for my daughters birthday.
I don not how she was able to cut out in fondant so perfect.
The edges are so neat.
Do you know , is there any tips???

Wow, what a fantastic cake! I don't know how she did it, but did you try PM'ing her? I've found that a lot of cc users are very willing to help and share. Have fun w/ the cake!

The Minnie looks like a Frozen Buttercream Transfer (FBCT) to me. YouTube has tutorials on this to get you started. BUT... the best clinic is Sharon Zambito's FBCT on one of her DVDs. ("Sheet Cake Secrets" I want to say...)

I dont think is FBCT, it looks fondant to me. Maybe I am wrong

I'm thinking 50/50 fondant-gumpaste in a mold she made from a plastic toy. Brilliantly done - so good actually that it looks plastic.......or maybe it's colored chocolate......made in sections.

What if the whole thing was solid and she used a sculpting tool to score the lines and then painted each colors. Just a thought.
