I will be doing a wedding cake with real flowers in between the cake tiers. I will use the SPS system, and I'm wondering - does it matter if I use the 9" pillars and just not cut them or should I get the 5" pillars with the extenders? (I already have enough 9" pillars, so I'm just wondering if I need to order the 5" instead.) Is there a difference?

I have made a stacked wedding cake with a separation using the SPS. I just used the 9" columns- worked great!
