Hi, I use mainly MMF because of the taste and have never used gumpaste before. I'm wondering which is the best for making 3D characters? I like when the characters have a matte finish. I've made my own modeling chocolate, but I dislike the shiny finish of it. Any tips/advice/tutorials would be greatly appreciated!

I use a 50/50 gum paste/fondant mixture for modeling. This seems to work better for me than to add tylose to fondant as that seems to dry out and not be as easy to work with.
