So I painted my fondant pieces with a pearl dust mixture (just pearl dust and vodka) but it's drying sticky. Has it just not dried long enough or did I mess something up? The cake is due in the morning!! Please help!

I've never used vodka with pearl dust so I can't be sure, but whenever I've used any kind of dust I just apply it on its own and it does the job...no water or vodka or anything else necessary in my experience.

To make the dust stay put you can try running the pieces under steam from a kettle (quickly or you will have the same problem), I have never done it either but I read it here once, good luck

I guess I've never noticed because every time I have done this I haven't needed to touch the pieces afterwards. What are you using them for that it's a problem they are sticky?

A little bit of alcohol goes a long way when brushing fondant. If you brushed too much on, just give it some extra time to dry. Run a CLEAN fan near, but not directly on, the cake, and that should speed up the dry time.
