If these are going on top of cupcakes, I'm assuming that you'll want them to be eaten. Gum paste does not taste good! It's not awful, but it isn't something I'd seek out. While mixing it with fondant does make it very pliable and I like the texture, I prefer to use that for decor that is most likely not going to be eaten. Just an FYI.

Also, this was on CC recently and thought you might like to see this (it's pretty self explanatory). Might give you yet another option!

thanks carmijok! I did see the Duff style roses but wasn't sure if they would look "authentic"! I'm thinking the roses won't be eaten... I added a slight amount of gumpaste now to the remaining fondant... they sure are furling better.. will upload a pic once I'm done icon_smile.gif thank you!!
