Gumpaste Glue or Royal Icing-Which is Better for Decorations

Hey everyone, I'm going to be doing a cake with tons of little cut out flowers, shapes/curved, on a fondant covered cake and wasn't sure what the best way is to stick them on the cake. Royal Icing or Gumpaste Glue? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Because you are talking about "tiny flowers" and decoration, my inclination is to recommend using gumglue, or even piping gel. You want something clear so you don't see royal icing peaking out behind your decoration...

In this Christening cake I made, I attached all of the tiny flowers and dragees with piping gel and it worked like a charm icon_smile.gif

I typically reserve using royal icing to attache things, for larger, heavier decorations...

I definately prefere gum glue. It is easy to make; easier to keep around. I NEVER keep royal around. Making it in small batches is a problem and then I end up throwing most of it out icon_sad.gif

Thank you so much for you replies! I already have gumglue around so I shall use that!
