I have an order for a 3 layer sheet cake with white chocolate mousse filling and buttercream frosting. My recipe for mousse calls for whipped cream but the cake won't fit in the fridge. Does anybody have a good recipe for a mousse that does not require refrigeration? Mousse-like would be okay. I'm not sure what will happen, does the mousse just go flat if not refrigerated? HELP! Thanks so much for any and all assistance!!!

The only mousse-like recipe I know of was one someone posted on here that Costco supposedly uses. It's more like a fluffed up pudding. So that could work well. I used it for a cake for family and it kept for 2 days at room temp. It might have lasted longer but that's how long it took grandma to finish it off icon_smile.gif It is a package of pudding a cup of milk and a cup of heavy cream although I did alter it to 1/2 cup milk 1 and 1/2 cups cream. Sub Bettercreme, Pastry Pride or Frostin Pride for the whipping cream.

Thank you Bellacakecreations for the recipe! I think this is the one I'm going to use. Thank you also to sweettreat101: I have looked EVERYWHERE for Pastry Pride, Bettercreme, and Frostin Pride and they are not available in our area. Fingers crossed!!!
