I have an order for a buttercream cake with an all-over pearl sheen. Unfortunately, I don't own an airbrush. Has anyone had any luck with any of the canned pearl sprays? What about painting the cake with luster dust and vodka? Thanks so much!!

I just made a buttercream cake yesterday and used a pearl canned spray and it came out perfect.

Someone posted here that the canned pearl spray changed the taste of her BC, so depending on how much you plan to use, I would do a taste test first.

I use the pearl spray from county kitchen sweet art. Works great.
