My ultimate goal is to open a Dine-in / Take-out Cupcake shop and also offer Cupcake Catering.

The area where I eventually want to open is busy and I dont currently know of any cupcake shops there. Only a couple of ice-cream shops, fast food shops, a couple of chain restaurants, and a few independent ones. I want to be within walking distance to the beach. Finding real-estate there will be h*ll though.

Tables & Chairs vs. Booths. Which are better? Should I do both?

I definitely plan to offer drinks as well (milk, coffee, tea, water, juice and possibly soda).

I honestly have no idea on how to decorate a cupcake shop. Flooring is a big issue. Carpet would be get nasty and smell awful very quickly. And tile would be so slippery if someone came in after swimming. I want it to look young and fun but also attract the older people who are here during season.

My main items would be cupcakes, but I would also offer other sweets such as doughnuts, cinnamon buns, cookies, and such.

Im trying to write out a plan of action so I dont hit to many bumps in the road (which I will most likely hit many many more unexpected ones).

Im doing online business management classes online and will also be taking some courses when I attended culinary school.

I've been baking all different types of recipes and having those at home taste try and I've been looking to have some kind of party here at home to have my friends & family try them out. I'm going to set up tables and make some review cards for each flavor to get feedback so I can narrow down my menu.

Any opinions/tips/advice is very very welcome!!

Thanks!!
