Hi, I'm new to the biz and just started in December. I will be making my brother's 13th birthday sheet cake on saturday and have some questions?
1. What pan do I use? 9*13 'brownie pan' or caseerole dish or a cookie sheet type pan? Will it feed 30- 50 people?
I am planning on filling it with strawberries and cream.
It will be one layer chocolate and one layer vanilla
2. Any ideas for a 13th year old boys sheet cake, I was thinking a soccer field but he wasn't to keen, do I just go grocery store , roses and a Happy birthday with shells? Any ideas are welcome. icon_smile.gif Thanks in advance will post pics after icon_smile.gif

- Cheers,

If you want to serve 30 to 50 people better you can use a full size sheet pan. Large nonstick aluminum baking sheets are also available in restaurant supply stores. Better choose any one baking sheet. Best Wishes for your bros birthday.

A FULL size sheet pan won't even fit into many home ovens. A full size is 24 X 18. Using the standard 2 X 2 X 2 serving of a one layer sheet, a full size serves 108.

Without buying pans, you could use your 13 x 9 and bake two cakes. You can do the same one or two different flavors. And you don't have to buy a new pan.

Hope this helps. If you have any more questions, just ask.

What does he like to do? Is he interested in music, video games, sports, etc.? Does he play guitar? Does he like to read? Is he scary smart? What does he want to be when he grows up? Doctor, lawyer, fireman, race car driver, ballerina?

Details, kiddo. Details. icon_biggrin.gif
