Storing RCT past exp date?

I found the 2 pound RCT "slabs" for $3.00. The only problem is that the expiration is for this July. I won't use them by then. I was wondering if I sealed them with Seal A Meal if that would extend the shelf life? I read that I could freeze them, but I bought 8 slabs and I would really prefer not to use up the freezer space. Any one ever try storing them past the date and if so how long?

I don't even look at the expiration dates for those---that was a STEAL for the slabs. There's nothing in them to go bad, really.

It's just that everything has to have a date on it these days--heck, even Americolor gels have dates on them, and I just use them until they're gone.

Sealing them is probably a good idea, if you don't mind the time & effort. Won't hurt, might help.

I rarely go to Big Lots, but my dentist's office is in the same shopping center. Thats where I found them last week for $3.00.
