I purchased the Duff gel colors to use electric green for a turtle. I used a star tip and the tips are brown. It's not as noticable using a 5 tip or something flat like that. I had achieved the perfect green with it. None of the Wilton colors are even close. Has anyone else had this problem? icon_mad.gif

So weird. And now you have me worried, because I will be using it next week for a turtle cake.....

The Americolor electric green gel works just fine. Small bottle very economical...

But what icing recipe are you using, and what brand of tips? Some ingredient in the icing might be causing the colour change.

Did you buy tips that may be corroding as you pipe?

I have to say Ateco and Wilton nickel plated brass have never let me down. I really have my doubts about "stainless steel" tips from offshore because stainless steel is REALLY hard to shape and weld...
