Gold Fondant, Please Help,
Decorating By Salacson Updated 9 May 2012 , 11:13am by chocolatefudgecakefan
Hello,
My sister want me to make her birthday cake with a gold fondant bow. Can someone help me please. Thank you for all your help.
I would make the bow in a light yellow color and then spray it with the Wilton color food mist spray in gold.
I have used the pearl and the silver and they work pretty good.

Chefmaster also makes a gold spray that works well, too. I get it from my local cake store, but I'm pretty sure you can order it online, too.
If you decide to use gold luster dust, I suggest that you do not use the Wilton brand, because it is very, very pale. It will not look "gold". You might try this brand, instead: http://www.cheftools.com/Super-Bright-Gold-Luster-Dust-2-gr/productinfo/13-0391/
HTH!
Thank you very much. I tried to attach the picture but it didn't work. I'm still trying to figure out this website. I'm a newbie

Make your bow first and then paint.
