Once again, I will most likely be travelling through New York state (Syracuse area). Any suggestions for items I can bring back across the border?

Any stores we should check out? Parity of the dollars is fairly good so it may actually be cheaper to get items down there.

Here are some things I have listed so far, but would welcome any suggestions:

Cake Mixes-
Jello Select types
Extracts
Oreo Cookies- Select types
Wilton Football pan
Baroque Mold Fondant and gumpaste
Philadelphia Cream Cheese Spread
Philadelphia Ready to Eat Cream Cheese filling
Viva Paper Towels
Mascarpone Cheese ( You can get this in Canada but cheaper down in the states)
Marble Mix Ins
Torani Flavoring Syrups
Wilton Decorator Icing

Random Items I will be on the look out for:

RANDOM ITEMS
Pastry Pride,
Tylose Powder ( Possibly Michaels?),
Frosting Creations,
Guittard a`peels,
CRUSH SODA ( peach, Strawberry,Pineapple),
Dummy cakes,
Sculpting Chocolate/Modelling Chocolate,
Fondarific, FondX,
Custard powder,
Betty Crocker Lip Balm ( Friend has asked me to look for this product).

Thanks for any advice or suggestions.

The three stores I have found so far are Wegmans, Wal-Mart and Joann Fabrics. If anyone in the area knows of a cake supply store, please let me know. icon_smile.gif

I lived in Syracuse for twenty years and still visit every year. Wegmans is a must - quite a phenomenal store. For baking/cooking supplies, go to Smith's Restaurant http://www.smithrestaurantsupply.com/ They give a business discount. If you're there on a Saturday, go to the regional market - it's the largest farmers' market in the region. http://cnyrma.com/

I would add Michaels to the list. I live in Rochester, so not sure where they are located in Syracuse.
