I need to get supplies for a family members wedding next month and the bride has asked for red fondant. But not just any red, it cant be too "orangey."
I planned to order satin ice since that is what I have always used, but without seeing it, I cant determine the color! Has anyone any experience with satin ice's red? Would you think it was a deeper red color -more like scarlet red perhaps? Or would you suggest another brand?
TIA!
I have Satin Ice, Duff's, and FondX red on hand, and, IMHO, all three are true primary red with more of a blue undertone than yellow.
I have FONDARIFIC red buttercream fondant and red gumpaste from PETALCRAFTS. No yellow undertone with either. They're red. Just red.
I used Satin Ice red/vanilla fondant for this cake:

Yup, satin ice is primary red, not crimson red or any other tone of red. Red like a crayola color crayon. I also call it circus red.
