After burning through 3 hand mixers in 2 years, my husband felt it was time for an upgrade. We got this beauty on sale at Costco (also with a rebate) around christmas. It came with a mixer...

Can someone please help me how much should i charge for this kind of Cake Topper? Client requires 5 to 6 inches quilt, sleeping baby, teddy bear n baby bottle.[/img]
Your image didn't show up, but I'd say price of ingredients times three, plus $10.00 an hour for labor. That's not the best way to price your things, but it's fast and easy, if you don't do this sort of thing all the time.

I guess because I've done this so often I don't think of charging extra. Sorry. But to speed up the process, check the First Impression baby molds and Karen Davies has a teddy bear mold I've been drooling over for a while now.

If you don't want to charge extra for this topper then don't. Not really sure why you are asking the forum what to charge then though...
Anyway, if I had to make that without a mold, it would be at least $75. If I had the mold and it was pretty easy to use and this was not the only decoration on the cake (as in the "basic decor included" budget was already used up) I would probably charge at least $20.
Why shouldn't you be charging extra for extra work on a cake? They come to you because you can do something they can't and they are willing to pay for it.
Sory? Define 'newbie' again? As long as you do a practice run on anything you're not sure about...and get lots of advice from c.c'ers, then 'they' don't have to know! Go forth boldly and cake!...And charge!!
