Looks like ribbon to me...very thin, maybe the curling type...HTH

This looks like a ribbon like julz said, this type of ribbon is not fabric but almost like the bows at christmas time, if that makes sense. Here is a you tube about it. Hope it helps.

I don't think it is curling ribbon as I don't think it would stand up like that. I think it is artificial bear grass and the white swirls look like coiled wire to me.

I agree with Rosiepan: Bear grass.and wire.

I hope I die before "your" is the official contraction of "you are."

I'd never heard of bear grass. I'm so glad I know of it now. You KNOW it's going on my next cake, right? Thanks Sassie82 and Rosiepan!

Here in the UK we can buy it in local cake supply shops. You can try ebay.
If you scroll to the bottom of this link you can see the different colours you can buy.

Well, Just wanted to thank you all AGAIN.. And to show you guys the wedding cake =)

BTW.. After days of searching via the web and only finding the BEAR GRASS being sold in the UK; meaning having to wait a week or too to recieve it (not an option for this cake cause it was due ASAP !)

I started hunting for it at local floral places and found it at a Local Michaels Arts and Crafts store.. I'm not sure if every Michaels sells it cause the first one i went to the floral lady had NO IDEA what it was and the floral area was very disorganized.. luckily I didnt give up there and went to another location.. =)

AND to color the Bear grass , use DESIGN MASTER spray paint (ALSO found at Michaels.. Wouldnt recommend using the GLOSSY type though)
