Ready Made Colored Fondant Or Color My Own?

Hi everyone,
I am making a ninjago cake for my son's bday. A lot of red will be used. Should I just buy colored ones? Like the elite fondx. Or fondarrific. Or should I buy a white one and color it? I heard that carma massa Ticino is yummy. Thanks everyone!
If you need a lot of red, I would personally buy the red already colored. It's a pain to get a good red on your own, and (to me) not worth the trouble when you can buy it.
I've never used the 2 fondant brands that you mentioned, but I've purchased the red Satin Ice before and it was the perfect color of red for what I needed.
It's okay. To me the vanilla taste is a little on the chemical side, but I've never had a problem working with it. I've had plenty of customers tell me that "it's nice to find someone who uses a fondant that tastes good" so I guess that's a good thing.
Definitely buy it...unless you want carpel tunnel from kneading it The Wilton brand is not as bad tasting as it used to be; but I've only been able purchase a small amount of red at a time in the assorted colors box.
definitely buy the red fondant1 i have used Satin Ice, it is OK, but I really like Fondarific's Buttercream Flavor fondant. It comes in red, and if you use amazon or have Amazon prime you can get it there. I have Amazon Prime so I get mine with FREE shipping. It is well worth the fee.
Satin ice tastes really good and the consistency is the best. It pays to purchase a rich color like that if you can. It saves you so much time.
Thanks so much for all the responses! Now, I just have to decide between satin ice and fondarific! Need more inputs.
Thanks!
New from Wilton- Red or Black fondant in larger packages. If you use a coupon it's even cheaper. HTH
