What do you do to a strawberry so it doesn't "bleed" and break down the frosting when you put a whole one or a piece of one on top of the frosting?

I'm not sure what others do. But I make sure they are very very dry after washing them and I will normally glaze them also. I have not had problems with bleeding or breaking down the icing. HTH

Thanks for the feedback...how do you glaze them?

I just buy can of strawberry topping and scoop out a strawberry and put it on top. I feel more comfortable knowing it won't spoil bc of the heat or grow mold!!!

Two ideas... place the strawberry on at the last minute or consider covering it in chocolate. A fresh strawberry uncut will last awhile.

i recommend glazing strawberries before sticking them on cupcakes. It keeps them from drying out if they're cut and it prevents bleeding
