I just iced my cake and was about to put it in the box and then on the refrigerator to latern cover it with fondant but i just realized i bought the wrong box size. How can i freeze the frosted cake without a cake box and without messing up the icing???????????/

Put it on a larger board so you can handle it.

Don't cover it at all. Or let it freeze an hour or so for the icing to freeze and stiffen up then lightly cover it with plastic wrap.
