When you say "Paint with pink" do you mean pink-coloured white chocolate/candy melts? Or pink food colouring?
If its the former, when you add the white chocolate, make sure its NOT too hot. White chocolate will remain workable for quite a long time. Spoon it in directly and carefully onto the set pink areas, then add the rest of the white. Tap gently to remove bubbles.
I haven't painted moulds before in anything other than melted coloured chocolate, so I can't offer any words of advice if you're using a food colouring medium other than choc.
