Protection for a 3d cake on display?

I have offered to make a cake for my son's baseball fundraising auction this saturday ( 3 days!) and have it in the works now; I was told though that since the cake will be out on a table for display before the auction, that they would like it to have some sort of covering on it to protect it from dust, fingers, ect... I have measured my board and it is 22 1/2 x 16 1/4 by about 10" high over all....there is no way I can get a "to go" plastic to cover this up from the local bakery. Any suggestions? I am stumped! icon_redface.gif I also just made up my fondant with too much coloring, grrr....any ideas on how to smooth that out? I appreciate you for any advice to help me out! Thanks!

I would use cellophane and tie with a ribbon. Too much coloring will require diluting with white fondant if you have more. I don't know any other way. HTH.
