SMBC - How long to let it sit out before serving?

Not sure if this is the right spot for this --

How long should a cake iced in SMBC be set out prior to serving after being refrigerated?

I tell my customers 1-2 hours. If it is a tiered cake, it will need more time than that for the parts under the other cakes to warm up and get happy.
