i 've never used either. Is one better then the other? Im looking at the Guittard because they are slightly cheaper then the merckens wafers but would like to hear about your experiences. It will be for dipping cake balls, covered oreos etc.

I use the Guittard A'Peels dark chocolate and white. I've used them primarily for candy, not pops, but LOVE the taste and workability.

Both Merckens and Guittard also sell REAL chocolate with cocoa butter that needs to be tempered, so make sure you are getting confectionary coatings when you purchase.

I happen to be able to buy Guittard A'Peels very cheaply in my area, but if Merckens was the same price or lower, I wouldn't have any problem switching between them. They are very similar in overall quality.
