how do i make such sharp edges like in this fondant cake http://weddings.theknot.com/Real-Weddings/72085/detailview.aspx?type=3&id=72085&fb_source=message
Those are some razor sharp edges!!! Someone can cut themselves on those!! I'm sure it can be done, but I am inclined to think those are cake dummies. Just my opinion
Me too, especially if you look at his website. Most of the cakes have rounded edges... only the ones that are floating around the wedding sites have those razor sharp edges.
Gorgeous cakes... but I'm not sure they are all actually cake.
I've seen these fondant cakes done the same as the upside-down bc method. Logical in theory, but I'm wondering how you would cover the seam unless you had a border. I don't like to put borders on the outside edges of my cakes so I haven't tried this myself.
Well, those Swank boys can get pretty dang razor sharp on their BC squares. Might not be dummies...and forgive me if it is indicated it's fondant, because then I'm going to agree with you all immediately.
It does say under in the caption that it's fondant... I'm not saying it's not possible... just that I wonder if it's a dummy since most of the other cakes on the site are rounded on the edges... even the rounds. I can get pretty sharp fondant edges on a square... but then again so are my rounds. I wonder why the difference you know?
