I use clay molds for my gumpaste figurines. They are cheap and the faces come out perfectly realistic and the bodies are the perfect proportion to the heads. It also takes care of doing hands which is hard for me.
Sorry I don't have a link to a tutorial but sometimes I will use clay tutorials for gumpaste and fondant work. There's a lot out there on YouTube.

Look up Lorraine McKay from Extra Icing. She sells tutorials online that you can download. I really like them and them are easy to follow. She has some tutorials on you tube also. Google her. I think you will find what you need.

I bought the victorian lady tutorial. I didn't make the lady, but used the face part of the tutorial. My person came out ok. I still need to work on making people. I have never tried the faces tutorial. A little of topic, but I have made the bear and the bunny. They both came out cute. Lorraine is coming to the US in June and is teaching 4 classes in NJ. I signed up to take the bride and groom class which in a two-day class. I am hoping to learn a lot.

I am a member of this site on facebook but didnt realise you could subscribe to tutoriols. Have just taken a look and there are some brilliant vids on there. Would love to learn the "standing up guy". Did try standing up people once but wasnt very good icon_biggrin.gif

I came across a site called "Lovely Tutoriols" which has bride and grooms etc on there. The detail isnt that good and I think it is in Russian but it gives a little idea on how to make them. Could be worth a look icon_smile.gif

Thanks for your help.
