using plastic CK pan

post #1 of 4
Thread Starter
I bought a plastic CK book pan. It didn't have any instructions. I baked the cake in the pan on a cookie sheet-the lady at store did tell me that- but the cake stuck. I used pan grease. Does anybody have any experience or tips?
Thanks,
Molly

I thought those plastic pans have a max temp of 325 degrees F. What does your label recommend? If it came with absolutely no instructions, not even a temp guide, you may want to reconsider using it for baking. It should be fine for gelatin molds.

I would call or email their customer service department and ask how to use it, they are usually pretty good about responding.

Hi! I have a few of these pans & most of them did come with instructions. So far I haven't had any stick. What I do is spray the pan with baker's joy or Pam with flour put my batter in. Now in my instructions it states that you should place the pan on a shiny cookie sheet to bake. None of mine are shiny so I lined the cookie sheet with aluminum foil. I'm not sure this will help with your problem but I really hope it helps you somehow! icon_smile.gif
