Thanks in advance! I have done sitting figures before but nothing like this.

You could probably attach the flatter things, like the rocks and trees, with melted chocolate. For the heavier decorations, like the larger rocks and the climber, I'd also use chocolate, but I'd put a skewer into the figures that I can stick into the cake for a firmer hold. I'd also use something sturdier than fondant for these things, like gumpaste.
