What can I do with cream cheese icing/bc?

I am in need of some advice. I want to do a carrot cake for Easter with cream cheese icing. But I want to do a basket weave and Easter "grass" to decorate it to look like an Easter basket. I'm wondering the best way to go about this. I know my cream cheese frosting wont be able to hold the basket weave, so should I do the basket weave in buttercream and then put the CC in between the layers and make it the "grass" also, or is there any other way to do this? Will the CC be able to retain the shape when using the grass tip? I personally am not a fan of the taste of BC anyway lol so the less of it the better! Thanks a lot!!

I use 1 pkg softened cream cheese, 1 stick of softened butter, 1tsp vanilla, 2 lbs sifted confectioners sugar and 1/4-1/2 cup water. this will work well with the basketweave technique. When adding water, start with 1/4 cup and then add small amts after that until you have the right consistency. Good Luck

Just made carrot cake this weekend and use the Wedding Crusting Cream Cheese Frosting receipe from CC.
Tastes great and I think it would be stiff enough to do the basket weave.

Tastes great, crusts, and you can pipe whatever you want with it.

I use Edna's crusting cream cheese icing, also tastes great and crusts perfectly!
