My kids came down with a lovely Sickness bug at the end of last week, gave it to my hubby and I thought that I'd escaped it. Nope, I had to cancel a small order for a couple of days ago as the kids were ill but hoped it would have been all over ad done with my now. I now have it and I have a 1st birthday cake due on Wednesday. I'm so sad and feel so guilty but I have no option other than to cancel it and refund their money. I'm going to make them some cupcakes in a week or 2 when we're all back to health and a big sorry but I just feel so bad about having to do it. I have a friend reasonably nearby who has a cake business so Im trying to get hold of her to see if she'll take the order so the customer isn't completely without a cake icon_sad.gif

Ugh! My daughter has stomach flu so I'm thinking we should plan on staying home by ourselves for Easter. I don't want to spread it around. Fortunately, I don't have any cakes due. Sorry you have to mess with all this. Life gets messy sometimes, doesn't it?

It does unfortunately! I never got ill until I had kids. I've managed to get a friend who runs a business to take the order for me. I'll be paying her and refunding any difference to the customer and am thinking about either giving them a voucher to use with me at a later date or maybe some cupcakes. I'm hoping they'll appreciate how bad I felt having to cancel.
