WOW, that is super cool. I don't know how they did it, but just guessing it might be blobs of light brown batter of some sort, rolled inside the dark brown batter, maybe frozen to keep it in a ball, then mixed in to the other bake batter???? Very cool though.

wow, so kool. Maybe like when you marbel cake, but small drops on chocolate the tiny drop of yellow right on top of that, then little more chocolate on top? Of course then DON'T mix it up. Be fun to try just to see if it worked.

Yes I think you layer the spots in the batter . make the spots add a layer of yellow batter make more spots add more yellow batter.
I found a zebra cake inside tutorial on the internet and the stripes were layered like that .

I googled how to do this and couldn't find anything for leopard/cheetah design in cake batter, but did find quite a few good ideas when i googled polka dots in cake batter....I will however, next week when I go back to the cake shop, try a few ideas that I have. If I get good results, I will let you know!! Im excited to figure this out

If I am remembering correctly, someone is suppose to be doing a demo of something like this at the ICES Convention. So I'm betting after the first of August you will see alot of these cakes.

Yes, I think it is well worth the price. I am not great at decorating but for $30 a year, I can look at the videos and they are all there when I have the time to practice. She updates the site frequently. I don't use the site for their recipes because most of them are doctored and I bake from scratch but they offer great flavor ideas, too. Melissa and her mom BeBe are very responsive. I would still subscribe even if they raised their prices. I want to pinch myself each time I log in because I just cannot believe that I have access to all of this for only $30 per year.

I just saw the Video for the Leopard print cake at Mycakeschool, they are WONDERFUL in explaining so many different techniques. Its well worth the $30.00!!

I completely agree with tigachu - I think MyCakeSchool is well worth the money. I was skeptical at first and sometimes I get a little bit impatient because she explains things soooo thoroughly (lol) but it's really a great site that is updated with new techniques and ideas pretty much every week. I made the ruffle cakes in my gallery after watching her and watched the leopard print video yesterday. I'm making that cake this weekend - I can't wait!!!

When I watched the video that mycakeschool made, I was stunned that she does it like nobody else would have thought! A lot faster than anything I've seen. And you get plenty of leopard prints all over inside your cake.

I definitely think $30 a year is totally worth it. Every week she posts a different project, and does it on screen step by step; yes, sometimes things even go wrong right there...the same stuff that will happen to any of us, and it takes time, videos are long, but you learn something on each of them.

I made one yesterday using the MyCakeSchool tutorial. It was super easy. And the membership is well worth it. Been a member for over a year.

The one in cc tutorial is nothing like the mycakeschool way. Definitely worthy to get the membership. It's crazy how some people have devised all these ways to do the print and then you see the Mycakeschool way and you can't believe someone thought it through like that, instead of doing one leopard spot at a time. Pretty amazing.

Mycakeschool has been the best $30 I ever spent!!! I have spent hours combing over her videos, recipes and forums. Priceless info all on one site.
