Business advice needed......

Thread Starter
So after many failed attempts at trying to find a commercial kitchen space to rent I've decided to accept a job I was offered as the sole baker & cake decorator at a bakery/cafe in my area. Im very excited about this opportunity however very overwhelmed. I already have a wedding consultation on Tuesday and its up to me to come up with a price list and contracts for further use for our clients. I know basic things that have to be included in a contract and im going by other bakeries in the area to come up with price. Is there anything in a contract that I should b including other than the basics price, flavor choice, size, decorations, date, client info, deposit agreement etc. and as far as price list what do you charge for flowers? I was thinking of charging a certain price according to the size of the flower does that make sense? This place has a great reputation and good customer base I def don't want to scare people away by overcharging. Any help would be appreciated.

If you scroll thru this link you will find several contracts. There aren't any on the first few pages, but there are plenty of contracts further back.
Congrats and good luck!

I just flipped through every page in that forum and didn't notice any contracts--just cake order forms. I know that Doug compiled a very thorough one... perhaps someone who has a copy of it would paste it here since the link to it was always problematic.

This posted refers to her 'order form' as a contract and so do many of the members who posted comments. What is missing, according to your book, that you feel this is not a contract?

As I said, I didn't notice any contracts. Perhaps, if you would have linked to this in the first place, I wouldn't have bothered trying to help the OP find one! Additionally, I didn't say anything was missing from a contract that I didn't find or view... I simply stated that Doug's was very thorough. (Personally, I wouldn't arrange the signature line in the "contract" before the terms, but rather at the end.)
