My daughter have a school project about the Hunger Game Movie or the Book( she chose the book), So yes here i am trying to do something that i have never done. Please, i need ideas on how to put this cake together.

This is what i have in mind, Make The Hunger Game Book fondant cover cake, and the arch and Bow that she used in the movie, But i do not know how to put this idea together or how to make the arch and bow . Please help.

Please any idea, please please ????? icon_rolleyes.gif I need to make it for next week,

I'd so want to do the Mockingjay pin. Then you could use a round cake!

I'll think on the archery stuff...you could probably do it out of gumpaste with thread for the string.

Yes I would diffinitely incorporate the Mockingjay pin as it has such importance throughout the whole book.. You could just make it out of either GP, or 1/2 and 1/2 candy clay and fondant; just let it sit for a day or two to dry then prop it up on the top of the book. The bow made the same way and thread or fishing line .
Man I hope someone lets me make one of those cakes, so jealous icon_biggrin.gif

I'm working on the Mockingjay pin right now for a cake for friday. Almost done...

what if i use edible image for the Mockingjay and the title of the book icon_rolleyes.gif

This cake should feed 35 kids, so need a little extra help with the cake size, i do not want it to look super big. What do you think?


Sorry for all the question, i am kind of retired from cake, so i have to find extra passion for it. icon_cry.gif
