I'm looking into buying a cricut cake. But was wondering if there's a big difference besides size in the cricut mini cake and the regular size cricut cake?

By size, do you mean the size of the material it will cut? The regular Cake will cut material 12" wide while the mini's cutting mat is 6" wide. I use my KA pasta roller to prepare gumpaste for the cutting mat, and it will only roll a strip about 5 1/2" wide, so my mini serves as well as my regular Cake in that dimension. I can load two strips on the bigger mat and do have the option of hand-rolling a wider piece if I need to. Most cake tiers are about 4" tall, so most cake work can be done with the mini if you're decorating the sides.

Thanks Ibmoser. I'm sure I'll be fine with the mini...just wanted to get others input on it icon_smile.gif
