I discovered that I could use the embossing cards found in the scrap booking section to emboss fondant! There are so many of them and they are pretty inexpensive (esp. with a coupon).

I know it wouldn't work for the whole cake type of embossing, but I don't do that anyway. I just needed it for small pieces, and didn't want to spend the $$ on one of the big rollers.

The cool thing is, you get both sides, so your pattern can be raised up or imprinted in!

I use the embossing folders to emboss gum paste and I also use them to emboss icing sheets. This gives a very interesting effect and the folders do not cost much. There are a lot of great things in the scrapbook section of the store you can use with your icing sheets and gum paste.
