So, this weekend, I made a cake for a friends daughters first birthday. It was a princess themed sheet cake and a matching princess smash cake. I made the smash cake, no problems there. I wanted to make an edible tiara. So I made one from gumpaste earlier in the week. Go to put it on the cake and it breaks in half. Ok, so moving on I dont have time to wait for another one to dry. So I make one using a pattern and piping wilton candy melt onto parchment paper. It turns out beautiful. I dust it with disco dust. Perfect. Pick it up to move it to the cake, drop it on the counter and it shatters. Third times a charm I suppose and I make another one and finally get it on the cake. Both cakes are complete and look beautiful. I go to take a shower and leave my husband in charge. Grab my camera after my shower and come into the kitchen to take photos. There are little tiny finger prints all over my cake! I had to start all over!! In the end there were two beautiful cakes, but it took twice as long as it should have. A very long cake day!!

One time I made a 3 tiered cake. all butter cream. As I went to take a pic, I stood on top hovering so i could take a top pic, and I dropped the camera icon_surprised.gif and it hit all 3 tiers. I stood there shocked for a couple of seconds. looked at my husband, who was also shocked. i started laughing because, what else could I do, and then he started laughing. I hurried and tried to patch. i finished on time, somehow, and made it to my friend's son's birthday party. can't believe I did that

Oh man! After the second tiara I'd probably have had a minor breakdown. Major points to you for pulling it all together (and not killing the hubby XD)

I was making a three tiered stacked wedding cake for a friend and had to leave the room for a minute. When I came back into the kitchen I found my cat standing on the chair licking the side of the cake. UGH! I could picture one of the dogs eating the cake but not the cat. I had to remove all the frosting from that side of the cake and frost it again.
