ban copyrighted cakes

why are copyrighted cakes photo not banned on cake central? its against the law weather for profit or not so why are they allowed.

Maybe because there are a lot of hobby bakers here on this website that bake cakes for our children or family. I believe you can make copywrite character cakes if you're not selling them.

It is still considered copyright infringement if you copy someone else's original work without permission, regardless of whether or not you sell the item.

CC probably allows copyrighted cakes because they are interesting and attract traffic to the site, but CC itself bears no responsibility or risk (other than taking down infringing photos upon request and handing over identifying information to authorities) due to disclaimers in the terms and conditions of the site.

I have emailed several companies and most of them say not even for personal UAE cause pictures get posted on line and they can't control the quality of the work. It's not just about the money it's about maintaining their characters good image.
