Help with cake pops

So Im not sure if this is in the right topic area but hopefully someone know. Iv been asked to make 8 dozen cake pops for St. Patrick's Day, Iv never made cake pops before only cake balls, and when I do that I usually crumble cake and a little frosting up, then roll the balls and stick them in the fridge for a bit before I decorate and all that. My question is what is the best way to make cake pops, should I bake them in little brownie tins with the stick in them or freeze them or stick with what Iv been doing? I guess my concern is that if I do them the way I make cake balls that once the stick is in it and I turn it up (so the stick is holding it, not the ball resting on the table) would the stick just poke through and make the ball fall down the stick?

Maybe im just nervous for nothing, but just wanted to get yalls advice...thanks!!!!

Bakerella's video is great!! The best way to go is exactly how you have been doing them! I believe Bakerella suggests an entire can of frosting which I feel is too much. After you form your cake balls, you want to dip the stick about a 1/2" into melted chocolate and immediately stick half way through the cake ball. place back in fridge to set for 15 mins. Proceed to dip as usual and place in styrofoam block to dry!

my cake balls are usually the truffles - rolled balls . My pops are usually baked.
You said 8 DOZ. I suggest you bake them .If you Roll these by hand thats ALOT. of work .
After you bake your pops they will cool quickly . Melt some candy melts . Dip your stick in the candy melt and insert in the the pop about an inch . stick them on a tray or large container and put them in the freeze for at least 10 minutes .The candy melt will harden and firmly attach the stick. When you take them out of the freezer you can begin
dipping .
