Hi I am wanting to do a shell with a baby inside. I want the recipient to be able to open the shell to see her baby inside the shell or failing a shell perhaps a jewellry box.

Any suggestions as to how I get the shell to be able to open and close?

I was thinking perhaps two holes with icing rings that aren't closed until I put them through the holes and the close them with some royal icing etc.? Has anyone does this in the past?

Cheers

I did a under the sea cake, its in my photos on page 3 of them. I just did a white chocolate shell and propped the shell open, but you could easily just leave it closed, its molded in two pieces. they could just lift the top off and see the baby.
