Flavor Recommendations...please

I am donating cupcakes and cake pops to a breast cancer luncheon next month....
I have tried and loved the summer strawberry from scratch recipe on here- and want to try to make it with raspberries instead. So raspberry cupcakes (and if it doesn't come out right, I'll just go with strawberry cupcakes)

I was wanting some advice for the frosting- what frosting would you think goes best with raspberries? Maybe french vanilla buttercream? (I tried that on here and can't stop making it- sooooo yummy) It doesn't sound right for raspberry though...

Just looking for some advice...
I've learned so much from my mistakes..... I'm thinking of making a few more!

What about lemon? That seems to be a popular combination.

I like the lemon idea too. But, I would probably do a vanilla IMBC with it myself.

I just made a lemon cake with raspberry filling- was amazing...but since it's donation for many people- I don't think people would like the idea of lemon frosting - I haven't tried IMBC yet, I've done SMBC - I heard IMBC is slightly easier though...

I am looking for something white, since I want to put pink decorations on them.
I've learned so much from my mistakes..... I'm thinking of making a few more!

Since you already know SMBC, how about a white chocolate SMBC or add white chocolate to your other buttercream (maybe with a little less vanilla). I love white chocolate and raspberry.

White chocolate buttercream. I am making a white chocolate cake with raspberry filling and white chocolate buttercream this weekend for co-workers.
