I just had a friends sister in law ask me to make a strawberry shortcake cake. She wanted to do a strawberry house on the top (kind of like in this picture... http://cakecentral.com/gallery/2068599/strawberry-shortcake), but I am not sure how you would do it!! Other than sheet cakes, round, or square cakes I have never really had to do this. Is it just stacked cakes carved to the shape? Is there a certain type of cake that is better to use than others to get it to hold up to carving? Thank you for any help!!

First of all, that cake is precious - props to the creator! Image

If I had to guess, it could be carved cakes or RKTs. Best of luck! Image

I agree that the cake is amazing!!!! It stole my heart from the first time I saw it! RKT would be a GREAT idea!!! I never thought about that! That way I could do all 3 layers since she only wanted 2!
