Hi everyone

Me and my mom are going to make my nan a cake for her birthday so it looks like a basket with flowers. I've been looking at loads of you tube video's on making flowers and most are saying that I need to use gum trag. Has anyone made flowers before and if so do I really need to use it, or can I get away with out it?

Thanks in advance.

Louise

the gt is to help them dry faster and hard. If you use gumpaste I would not use any. When using fondant its a matter of choice, however it will take longer for the flowers to dry.

Also if you are in a high humidilty area you might want to consider it. Why is it that you don't want to use it if you don't mind me asking?
