Air Pockets In Butter Cream?

Hi,

I see loads of pictures of lovely smooth butter cream swirls and what not but i have tried various recipes and mine often as little air pockets in? why is this does anyone know how i can air pocket free butter cream? x

I only mix my BC on low and that seems to eliminate the bubble issue. If I crank it up too high and get bubbles then I just smash the BC against the bowl with a rubber spatula to get rid of the bubbles.

If you aren't filling your mixer to the top of the paddle, you're whipping air into the buttercream. Always make a full batch.
